Mickey Face Fried Rice

I found out turning food into different forms are more and more fun.  This is the fried rice I made last week.  Instead of just pouring fried rice on plate, I use the mickey toast mould and press it into mickey face shaped like what you see in the picture.

After I have make out the mickey face fried rice and when I am going to take picture, my 3 years old daughter already go and take spoon and want to eat it.  Soon after I finished take the picture, she starts eating the fried rice.  Even though she didn’t finish the fried rice as the portion of fried rice is a bit big for 3 years old child but she eat more than normal.

If you take more time and use seaweed or other food to  decorate the mickey face, I believe it is more attractive, you can use seaweed and cut out the mickey eyes, nose, mouth and ear, or you can use other food like mushroom, carrot etc to decorate.  Hope you all enjoy!

Your Own Design Pancake 自己设计的鬆饼

Making your very own design of pancake is very easy, you just need to have sauces pen. If you think your drawing is not nice enough, you can try to use a stencil and draw the picture on your pancake.

Below is the step by step pictures showing how to have your own design pancake.  Here I am using the pancake mixer which you can get it from any supermarket.

The doraemon I am using the doraemon stencil, unfortunately I have cook for too long and it turn so black, I am too lazy to make the second doraemon therefore I draw heart and smiley face.

When using stencil, remember to apply a layer of oil on the stencil otherwise the mixer will stick on the stencil.  Turn off the gas first while you draw the picture of the stencil, when done take out the stencil then only you turn on the flame.  If you still have any questions feel free to let me know.

If you do not have microwave, you can cook the jam using the pan. Beside strawberry, you can also replace it with pineapple, orange, or other fruits.

The lunch box I am using here is the melody lunch box 2 in a set.  It is very convenience to use.  It can only use to store food and put in fridge. Beside this model there are also twin star.

这里我所用的是melody的保鲜盒,可以微波,连盖也可以微波,非常的方便,一套有2个,除了这个还有twin star的。

Snoopy Bean Curd

Out of ideas what to cook? This is the dish what I usually make when I have too busy, the ingredient you need is bean curd (tauhu) and seaweed sprinkle.  You can steam the bean curd until hot, I usually put into microwave for 8 mins (Lazy way), after that just have to sprinkle some seaweed on top, that’s it.  This time I am using the snoopy seaweed sprinkle, it is so cute and my kid love it so much, can’t believe she eat more than usual.

The snoopy seaweed sprinkle come with 3 flavours, egg, chicken and vegetable. The fun thing is each individual package is written with vocabulary.  Therefore you can enjoy your meal at the same time teach your kid with new vocabulary.

The best thing is it is low in calories and full of nutrition.  Beside sprinkle on bean curd, you can also sprinkle on rice.  Hope you all enjoy!

Cartoon ABC Soup 卡通营养菜汤

I believe most of you already know how to cook this ABC soup, it is very simple the ingredients you need is
1 carrot
1 potato
1 tomato
some ikan bilis
put 2 bowls of water and cook until all the ingredient soft, no other seasoning needed and the soup is ready to serve.
Instead of normal ABC soup I use tomica vegie mould and hello kitty vegie mould to have different kind of shape for carrot and potato.  Children will love it so much and will eat more.  Beside cutting vegetable, the mould can also use for bread, cheese, ham, fruits, cookies etc.  With your creativity, I believe you will come out with more ideas with the mould.

Remember don’t throw away those residue of potato or carrot, you can either put into your soup and cook together and chop it into small pieces and use it for fry rice.

Below is the step by step picture guide of using the mould
